GIVEAWAY – It’s been too long!

Art gallery. One of the eeriest buildings in Sudbury, but really intriguing.

The last time I wrote a blog entry here was May 20th. That was over two months ago. I am apparently crazy.
Life has been pretty hectic though. I’ve been taking to my Facebook page to complain about how busy I was, until I saw an article that pointed out to me that constantly talking about how . . . → Read More: GIVEAWAY – It’s been too long!

Dr. Instagram (or how I learned to stop worrying and love the app)

So as most people know, Instagram is an app available for iPhones and Androids that applies neat little filters to your photos. I really liked it for a little while, but eventually I stopped using it because putting my lame pictures up on what seemed like an empty social

Apparently I thought that blurry pictures of . . . → Read More: Dr. Instagram (or how I learned to stop worrying and love the app)

Sudbury festivals: A best of list on a scale of 1-food coma

Well here's me with Brendan Canning from Broken Social Scene last July. Pure heaven.

Even though we had a few stupid inches of snow and we’re supposed to get a few more stupid inches, I’m going to reward myself a consolation prize and write about a few of my favourite things: food, music and summer.

Okay, eating food is like… the worst hobby ever. Everyone eats food. I have “eating” liked . . . → Read More: Sudbury festivals: A best of list on a scale of 1-food coma

Internet snobbery (and biting your tongue when it comes to slowpokes)

LU Memes

I’ve been an avid Internet user for many years now. When people find out that I’ve had my Facebook account since 2006, their first reaction is usually a “whoa.”

Honestly, the fact that I’ve been on Facebook for that long is not a very cool thing. I remember being in high school and being so absolutely resistant . . . → Read More: Internet snobbery (and biting your tongue when it comes to slowpokes)

It’s going to snow tonight.

A nice Instagrammed photo of my feet and my brother's girlfriend's feet. Speaking of Instagram, Facebook bought them for 1 BILLION DOLLARS today. Wow.

It seems like every Sudbury spring starts out with a tease, with warm temperatures that make you feel like they will stay for good, then frosty wind that makes you wish you wore mittens and a scarf.

Sudbury concerts!

An artist's rendition of me with said cheese.

Get ready, folks. Another Sudbury summer season is coming up – time to find your bathing suit, pack your cooler and clean your sunglasses.

Well, almost. It’s still pretty cold, but tonight I started off my summer season the right way – with a concert.

There is this band that I’ve been wanting to see since 2009 – . . . → Read More: Sudbury concerts!

One more day of class!

This thought is kind of getting me through the sea of assignments I still have to do. These past three weeks have been incredibly busy, but I have loved every second of it.

The SGA 2012-13 elections were on the 21st and the 22nd, and we ended up staying at the Lambda office the whole night waiting . . . → Read More: One more day of class!

Between the Sheets

Sounds sexy, doesn’t it?

Earlier this week our Biosoc (Biology Society) Club hosted a well-organized event that created a multidisciplinary discussion on current political and scientific issues. With six speakers from various backgrounds, including and not limited to  Biology and Economics, a variety of topics were covered.

Topics such as How the Economy can Save the Environment and Knowledge vs Interests: . . . → Read More: Between the Sheets

Looking Ahead to a Beautiful Summer in Sudbury

With less than one month of classes to go, it seems as though everybody’s current preoccupation is their plan for the summer. When walking through the bowling alley, I hear conversations like “What are you going to do after exams?” and “Where are you going to live over the summer?”

Whenever anybody asks me those kinds . . . → Read More: Looking Ahead to a Beautiful Summer in Sudbury

If you can vote, do it! E’rywhere!

*musical notes* It’s the end of the world as we know it..and I feel fine! *musical notes*

Alright, it isn’t the end of the world , but it is definitely the end of the 2011/2012 Student’s General Association’s executive as we currently know it! It’s the time of the year where all the gung-ho students rally their . . . → Read More: If you can vote, do it! E’rywhere!
