I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of hearing about how people are “bored in Sudbury.” Right now most of my friends have full time jobs, so I know the meaning. However I haven’t been too upset because I’ve found so many neat things to get up to in Sudbury during the summer. Rejoice because there is no need to be bored anymore!
Just going for a walk downtown is a discovery in itself. There are so many neat little shops downtown that should be discovered by those who have never been. Previously unnoticed quaint little shops seem to turn up on every trip. Another plus to walking around downtown is that you are never too far from an amazing restaurant serving lunch, snacks, and dinner.
Enjoy the weather outside at one of the many beaches. They don’t have those in Toronto.
Try a new extreme hobby like: long boarding, rock climbing, wake surfing, slack lining, even hula hooping!
Join an ultimate frisbee, mixed slopitch, basketball, or even beach volleyball team.
Take dance lessons at Arts North.
Go to a festival! On a Sudbury summer weekend you are never too far from a festival. Recently I had the opportunity to check out the Northern Lights Festival Boreal and Italian Festival. Still to come is Summerfest, and the delicious Greek Festival.
For free live music check out the concert series at the Bell Park gazebo!
There are so many more options in Sudbury than just watching a movie*
